Cre-Away Pro effectively modifies glazed or third-degree creosote so it can be efficiently removed.

It is safe for use on all types of creosote. Cre-Away Pro is a four component powder that takes care of all the problems creosote presents. A reactive agent neutralizes the acidic creosote to make it less corrosive to any metal components of the flue system, and less flammable. A dehydrator absorbs the oils and moisture contained in some forms of creosote to dry it out. A combustion inhibitor helps reduce the chance of chimney fires. Finally, a magnesium catalyst helps break down third-degree creosote when the flue is heated by normal use.

Cre-Away Pro is recommended for application during the burning season to modify creosote for easier removal. Apply after every cleaning to neutralize odors.

What’s the difference between Cre-Away Pro and Cre-Away? Cre-Away Pro has 50% more manganese catalyst than normal Cre-Away and comes with a more powerful applicator. It is more economical, seeing that you can buy in bulk (25 lbs). To use, fill the hopper on the applicator and attach to a small portable 1½ – 2 gallon portable air compressor. These compressors can be purchased at most home improvement stores. Liberally coat the entire flue system. It will take a week or two to notice improvements!

  2. Tom,

The make is task force as for the model I am not sure. But any 1 1/2 – 2 gallon air compressor will do the job. You can purchase these at your local home improvement stores. Hope this has answered your question, feel free to come by if you have anymore!!
